Founded by the artist Hannah Dale in 2012, the awarding winning Wrendale Designs has been supplying the world with home and tableware products ever since. Inspired by the breathtaking Lincolnshire countryside and it’s wildlife, Hannah started to reproduce her watercolour artwork as gift cards and accessories. This range of homeware accessories quickly expanded and before long included a wide variety of stylish tabletop items such as placemats, coasters and trays.
The collection of trays are mainly made from melamine and manufactured in partnership with Portmeirion, one of the leading UK tableware companies. With Wrendale trays available in a variety of useful sizes and an ever increasing range of stylised animal designs, including seasonal patterns such as the Robin scatter tray.
The original Wrendale melamine tray is still one of the most popular designs with stunning artwork depicting a multitude of animals found in the British countryside which is available as the large serving tray and a similar version is produced in the handy sandwich tray size.
With an attention to detail which makes Wrendale stand out from other tabletop designers and has been recognised over the years by winning some of the industries most prestigious awards. Some of the larger ones were the Queens Award for export in 2019 and more recently the Kings Award for excellence in relation to international trade in 2024.
